When to replace your phone battery

Every battery loses capacity with each charge cycle. After two to three years, most phones don't last as long as they used to. A battery replacement makes an older phone feel new again, for far less than a new phone.

Signs your battery is worn

The percentage drops fast, especially below 30%.

The phone shuts down suddenly while still showing charge.

It gets very hot while charging or in use.

The back or the screen is lifting. That means a swollen battery: stop using it and bring it in.

How to check battery health

iPhone: Settings, Battery, Battery Health. Below about 80%, a replacement makes a noticeable difference.

Android: many models show it in the battery settings or the device's support app. If you can't find it, we check it in store.

What the replacement involves

We replace the battery, test charging and temperature, and return the device with a warranty. For many models it's done the same day.
