Water damaged phone: what to do right away
Water doesn't destroy a phone instantly. The damage happens when current runs through wet circuits and when corrosion starts. The faster you act, the better the odds.
Do this now
Take the phone out of the water and switch it off. Don't charge it and don't turn it on to test it.
Remove the case and SIM card. Gently wipe the outside with a cloth.
If it was salt water or a sugary drink, corrosion is faster. Bring it in as soon as you can.
Avoid
Rice doesn't dry the inside. It absorbs a little surface moisture while corrosion carries on inside.
Don't use a hair dryer or oven. Heat can damage the screen and battery.
Don't shake the phone hard. It pushes water deeper.
Why a professional clean matters
Even if the phone turns on, corrosion can show up days later as charging, audio or screen faults. We open the device, clean the board and check the parts before the damage becomes permanent.

Book a water damage checkFrequently asked questions
My phone is waterproof. Does it need a check?
Water resistance weakens over time and after drops or repairs. If the phone shows any symptom, it's worth a check.
Can my data be saved?
Often yes, even if the device won't turn on. The sooner it comes in, the better the odds.
